You can legally access new medicines, even if they are not approved in your country.
Learn howMedicines should be available to everyone, no matter who you are or where you live.
At TheSocialMedwork, for the past 7 years, we have been helping thousands of patients and their physicians access life changing medicines not yet available where they live. We feel privileged to have been able to assist these patients from over 90 countries in accessing much needed medicines. This great achievement would not have been possible without the support of our funders as well as the dedication of all our team members over these 7 years.
During these 7 years, our team has received many messages of gratitude from patients’ families from around the world for giving their loved ones the chance to try additional options they otherwise would not have access to. This appreciation has been humbling and has given us and our partners strength, confidence and inspiration and has pushed us to move mountains.
However, we couldn’t help each patient. Too often patients and their families can not afford the price of medicines out-of-pocket and their insurance will not cover the costs. It is a terrible situation to be in. It’s difficult for the patients, to not have anywhere to turn to, and it’s hard on our team members, who have to inform a patient in need that we can not help them.
It goes without saying that we are and will forever be passionate about every individual patient we are able to support. We are however of the strong opinion that healthcare is a basic human right for every person, no matter who you are or where you live. Medicine access should not be limited to only the privileged.
Over the last half year, we have been fortunate to secure a first partnership with a pharmaceutical company to make an expensive, but life-saving medicine available in some of the poorest countries in the world for free or at low cost to families with little children suffering from a deadly disease. Getting this medicine makes all the difference in the lives of these children and their families.
"[Our son] was given the chance to live his life like any other kid. Thank you for giving us hope, thank you for giving us the chance (that we never thought we would have) to see him grow up in his best shape and health, THANK YOU for working hard in order to deliver his medicine on time. We are forever grateful."

This is our mission and we are thrilled that we could give help where it was needed, no matter the financial circumstances of the families. This is what the word ‘social’ in our name was all about in the first place. This is what we never want to lose track of: no matter who you are or where you live, we want to try and help you access the medicine you need.
For this reason, we will from this moment onwards be named EVERYONE.ORG.
Will we suddenly be able to help everyone? Unfortunately, no. But we would like to make our goal and intend very clear: a healthier world for all. Our energy, our focus and our dedication will be directed toward contributing to this greater good. While doing so, we will seek partnerships with every company, every organization, every individual that aims to contribute and accomplish this same ambitious goal: a healthier world for all!
A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. We have just made our first step and we welcome everyone to join and help us!
Warm regards,
Sjaak Vink
